Have a question? We have an answer! Cancellation policy and other information below.
Q: How much does it cost?
A: Each private (home-based) party costs $35 per person. Most restaurant-based events are also $35 per person. Depending on the venue and event, this price may vary.
Q: I have never painted before! Can I do this?
A: Absolutely! These classes are structured so ANYONE can participate. There is no experience necessary.
Q: I need to cancel. Can I get a refund?
A: Cancellations that are emailed (to heather@thepourartist.com) or by phone (781-816-POUR) within 48 hours before the start of the event will receive a 100% refund. **NO SHOWS, and LATE ARRIVALS are considered a forfeiture of your ticket and will not be refunded. You MAY arrive late and join the class if you have a ticket, but seating is limited and you may not be able to sit where you want to. REFUNDS are NOT given in the case of unsatisfactory seating availability due to tardiness.**
Q: My friends and I are running late! Can we still jump into the class?
A: Yes of course! I cannot guarantee that you will be able to sit next to each other.
Q: I have a large party of friends who bought tickets, can we reserve seats together?
A: Yes! Please email me at least 24 hours in advance of the event, and we will reserve a group of seats together for you.
Q: Do I need to bring anything?
A: We supply everything needed to create your masterpiece: Easels, canvases, paints, brushes, aprons and palettes. You may not want to wear your best, newest, shiniest, brandy-new outfit, as acrylic paints can stain clothing. We do have some guests who bring their own smocks/cover up shirts. You are welcome to do so!
Q: I want to have a home party, how does that work?
A: Email heather@thepourartist.com with the following information:
1) A few ideal dates (evenings, weekends are ok!)
2) The number of guests (minimum of 8 people at $40 per person for home-based private parties).
If there are 10 or more people, please speak with me and I can reduce the price to $35 (with at least 10 guests).
Other details:
We reserve the right to cancel any party (private or venue-based) in the event of severe weather, illness, or unforeseen circumstance.
In the event that we need to cancel, a 100% refund will be sent to each ticket holder.
We also do not guarantee (but make our absolute best effort) that guests will be able to adequately see/hear the instructor throughout the entire class. Different venues can and may play music, have live music, or other variables including seating setup, which may make the instructor difficult to hear or see. This is rare, but must be stated here. We also do not guarantee absolutely perfect lighting in every situation, as each venue is different.
Arrive early and take your seat. Seating is first come-first served. This is the best way to guarantee you will be able to see and hear the instructor, and be able to sit with your friends!
It can often get hectic during setup and the minutes before an event; if you have any concerns or need to talk to the teacher or manager before the start of the event, please be patient and we will do our best to help or accommodate you as necessary.
RELAX! ...and HAVE FUN!
